Sketchbook Project….

The Sketchbook Project: 2011

Some time ago I signed up for the “Sketchbook Project” sponsored by the Brooklyn Art Library.

I have been trying my hardest to get it completed before January 15th which is when it has to be postmarked by.

Sketching, I have learned, is much easier and fun when you are not involved in a project. As soon as the word “project” and deadline are mentioned things usually be come more of a chore.

Anyway, wish me luck as I try to finish my “project” sketchbook and if you are lucky you will actually be able to view it when it is on exhibit.

  1. Haha, that is a great point. “Project” does seem to make everything more serious. Sometimes unusual restraints bring out our creativity though! Kind of like The Artist’s Way, where you have to write every day even if its just cleaning out the pipes, as it were. Good luck on your sketchbook!
